Hello, I’m George, an independent floral designer based in Greenwich, London. My career with flowers started 17 years ago and in this time I have been fortunate to gather a wealth of experience working on some incredible projects in the UK and internationally.
In 2017 I left my role as Creative Director at a renowned London florist and established Rust Bloom; providing decorative florals for both private and corporate clients.
As a Rust Bloom client I will be your main point of contact and creative lead. I also have a team of freelance professionals who work with me on a regular project basis. We combine our expertise of floral design with the best flowers and foliage each season has to offer to create stunning displays which visually enhance the occasion they have been created for.

Our Approach:
Whether the requirement is an understated contemporary display, or a more decadent, extravagant installation, each of our clients receive the same personal, professional service; underpinned by our technical expertise and dedication to meeting a brief, no matter how big or small.
We take time to listen to our client's individual preferences, and work out how we can best deliver what they envisage, within their time frames and budgets. To us each occasion or space is a blank canvas, and we enjoy nothing more than transforming our client's ideas into real life floral creations.
The Rust Bloom creative process revolves around seasonality, reflecting what is happening in the natural world and 'bringing the outside in'
To achieve this, we personally source and select flowers from a well - established network of suppliers, all of whom meet our high standards for excellent quality and consistently provide us with beautiful blooms and fabulous foliage!
We are always prepared to go the extra mile for our clients and wont hesitate to forage for more unique wild flowers and foliage adding a special touch to our designs.
Our Ethos:
Growing up on a rural Sussex farm, George has always been fascinated by nature in all of its different elements and guises, and it’s this fascination which inspires the signature style of Rust Bloom; we highlight the natural beauty, and maintain the individual integrity of each flower, for a unique, ethereal and effortless look.
Whereas there are some forms of floristry which are more processed and constructed, the Rust Bloom ethos is that the beauty of flowers and foliage when in season need very little enhancement - it's just our job to showcase this in the best way possible.
At the same time we want to ensure we are delivering the style our clients want to achieve, which is why we take time to meticulously understand each brief we receive and always put forward designs which are adaptable.
With our love of nature, we are increasing our dedication to sustainability, Rust Bloom is constantly striving to operate as environmentally conscious as possible.
For example, through the summer months the majority of our ingredients we use come from British growers, we re-use and re-cycle wherever we can, and are actively reducing the amount of floral foam we use, and when we do it’s biodegradable.
